A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“Welcome to the great open spaces of Nebraska! Wish it was in the room too. Lol. But it want bad, and had a great view. Here's the breakdown. Rooms: There were a few things to knock. Toilet wasn't perfectly clean, no in room ammenities, safety latch was busted. But the view was great, lights all worked, everything else was fine. Service: Friendly but nothing special. They provided coffee in the lobby, and water. Might just be a three, but the lobby was nice and well kept. Location: Right off the main highway. If you know Grand Island, it's not easy to go North to South, or vic versa, but I felt I was central to just about everything I needed.”
“Clean room, neat & tidy public areas, friendly front desk staff and great price! The room had bed side tables on both sides of the bed, which is always a plus. We will definitely stay there again! Edit to add: At 6:30pm the day we checked out, I realized I'd left a blanket in the room. I called the hotel and the person at the front desk said it's there and they'll have it at the front desk for me to pick up. I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could for that alone!”
“Fairly clean rooms. Some mold on shower ceiling. Room shows use. Ok for under $100. Pond in back, nice place to sit.”
“This hotel is kind of out-of-the-way, but not super bad. It also doesn’t look like much on the outside, but that’s only to conceal its secrets. At first, I thought it was this cheap fleabag, and I was traveling kind of on a budget for the Fourth of July so I booked this over Expedia. They are pet friendly and they welcome to my dog Bruce as you can see, and their bathroom was very spacious. Also, the walls are surprisingly thick and the room was very quiet. The room itself was actually pretty compact, but the bed is oh so wonderful. I slept like a baby and this was the case even though there was a thunderstorm raging outside all night with lightning flashes almost 5 every second. This hotel is adjacent to a lake or a pond that is very pretty. They have a backyard patio and really tall Willow and other trees nearby that just exudes peace. Don’t get me wrong, this is not the Ritz Carlton. But if you’re traveling through Nebraska on a budget, the staff is nice, the rooms were clean, and the bed is amazing. Even though I gave them a four out of five stars on location, that was just because they’re in the south part of Grand Island so they’re a little out of the way of where the main scene is but not too bad.”
“I was not so sure about staying here on our last night of a Nebraska trip to see the Sandhill Crane migration, but I have to say it was just fine. Check-in was friendly, professional and easy; the room was spotless and quiet (would be even better if there were a place to hang coats and clothing); and the breakfast was what to be expected (I just had coffee and ate later in Lincoln). Very quiet evening, no doors slamming, no loud neighbors. The best part for this birder? Waking up to a view of a lovely pond and waterfowl from my second-floor windows.”
